Mitch Mitchell

Mitch Mitchell, the reason I play drums, died.  I hope we can all appreciate the impact he had on the music world.  His fluid fusion style inspired many drummers and he will be sorely missed.  I honestly wouldn't care about Jimi Hendrix if he hadn't been the drummer.

Wow, that is a shame. I think he just played a Hendrix tribute thing recently. Well, on the lighter side of things, The Faces are reuniting. Could either be good or bad!

Oooo. I'm going to assume bad. Rod Stewart i think might be at the height of tool-dom right now.

He definitely inspired me too. Most notably he's the reason I'm going to name my son Jacob Jacobs. He paved the way.

Seeing Dungen last night was a fitting tribute to Mitch Mitchell and the Experience (although I didn't think about it at the time). White-hot drumming and simultaneous soloing!
